Sussex Steam Beam & Mill Engine Kits

 

A Beam Engine Kit and a Mill Engine Kit	Runs under Steam, Battery or Compressed Air at less than 2 psi. Dimensions: Beam Engine, 264 x 96 x 120mm high (10 3/8” x 3 ¾” x 4 ½”) Mill Engine, 264 x 96 x 90mm high  ( 10 3/8” x 3 ¾” x 3 ½”) Note: Both kits are now supplied with a ready machined & finished base.
	These models are not meant to be scale models of any particular Beam or Mill Engine, rather they are intended to demonstrate the principles of the beam and Mill engine as well as being an attractive working display models. The simple sliding valve on both models is of novel design, being a round version of the normally flat types used on full sized engines.
A fully assembled Beam Engine Another unusual feature of these models is that they operate at the very low pressure of less than 2 lb / sq.in. The models can be made to operate by attaching the tube provided to the steam inlet, and blowing. Both models have an integral electric motor and can also be run from a simple steam plant.
