In 1897 twins FE & FO Stanley successfully produced over 200 Stanley Light Steam Cars in Newton, Mass. We are pleased to offer this wonderful steam model, which is based on them. The 8 horsepower model was capable of reaching speeds of up to 27 mph / 43 kph and sold for $ 750. In 1898 the manufacturing rights to the vehicle were purchased by AL Barber and JB Walker for $ 250,000. In 1908 the speedy Stanley Roadster was capable of speeds of up to 60 mph / 96 kph and could run for over 80 Km on one filling of water. Many thousands of Stanleys were built up until 1927.
